I’m a creative copywriter with 9 years of advertising experience. My name is Joseph, but most people call me Josh, my close friends from back home call me Joshy, my family calls me Junior, my brother-in-law calls me Joshua, some people in Toronto just call me “that Peruvian dude”, and at this point, I honestly don’t know who the f***k I am anymore.
I’m originally from Peru, a magical land with beautiful beaches and delicious food, where high-speed internet is a myth, and no one is ever, ever on time.
Currently, I’m working at Publicis - Toronto. Although the cold here can easily freeze over even the hottest ideas, I really like this city. And what’s not to love? Here, you get trash cans on every street corner that even separate recycling, litter, and organics. It’s awesome! Even though I don’t always know what to do when I’m done eating a transgenic apple. I’m still learning which doors I can lean against when I’m on the subway, but overall, this place is starting to feel like home. Honestly, High Park alone is cooler than all of Peru.
So, here I am in Toronto, still crazy about learning and connecting with people with the same addiction as me: coming up with those ideas that make you jump out of your seat as if you’d just sat on a pin.
