In 2018, the Peruvian government launched a proposal that would have halted its financing of the media, with the intention of keeping people misinformed about the corruption in the country.

SNRTV decided to take action and invited all Peruvian media channels to show how they act as the voices and the eyes of the people. The campaign generated controversy in the whole country, and the government had no other choice but to drop the proposal.
